Today Ms. Mahon’s 5th class took part in Dragon’s Den, which is part of JEP (the Junior Entrepreneur Program). Ms. Daly, Ms. Dunne and Caroline, head of training in Super Valu, made up the panel of dragons. Four groups from the class presented their business ideas to the dragons. These ideas included personalised soap boxes, recycled denim pencil cases, eco-bath bombs and SCN beanie hats. All of the girls put a massive amount of effort into preparing their presentation. There was a notable ‘Green Theme’ running through each of the products, with the aim of using less plastic, recycling more and also reducing our carbon footprint when sourcing materials.
The winning idea was Coca’s Caps. Well done to all of the girls involved.
