The results for week 2 are in….drum roll please….🥁
Junior & Senior Infants:
The boys and girls in Junior and Senior infants did even better than last week with a combined total distance of 247 km this week. That is the same distance as a lap of the perimeter of County Kildare. Well done infants!
First & Second Class:
The boys and girls in 1st and 2nd Class managed to cover 433 km this week. That is equivalent to completing the Kerry Way…twice! A super effort.
Third & Fourth Class:
The boys and girls in 3rd and 4th Class completed an enormous total of 518 km this week. That is the distance from Scoil Chóca Naofa to Kinsale, Co. Cork and back again!
Fifth & Sixth Class:
The girls in 5th and 6th Class really upped their game this week with 728km covered. That is the distance from Buncrana, Co. Donegal to Waterford and back up again!
The grand total is:
1926 kms were covered in total by all of the children this week. This is equivalent to the distance from Dublin to Madrid, Spain. Surprisingly, despite the snowfall, this is an improvement on their distance from last week. Well done boys and girls.
School Staff:
As well as all of the staff’s wonderful dancing efforts with the Jerusalema dance challenge, they managed to collectively span the distance of 1400 km– the distance from Dublin to Toulouse, France.
Check out some of the photos of the children and staff in action throughout the week. A huge congratulations to all involved. Keep your eyes peeled on the school website to see how we get on after the mid-term break!
