This week, as part of our bid to achieve our 9th Green School Flag for the theme of Global Citizenship (Travel), the children and staff at Scoil Chóca Naofa took park in ‘Clean Air Week.’
Everyone was encouraged to remember two golden rules this week:
- No idling- turn off your engine when the car is not moving.
- Travel more actively- run, scoot or cycle to school.
The children took part in walks, colouring competitions, word searches, slogan competitions, raffles and much more throughout the week. The week culminated in the children cycling, scooting or walking to school for ‘Fresh Air Friday.’
Well done to our Green School committees for organizing a fantastic week and to everyone for their participation and efforts in improving the quality of the air we breathe.
