Ensuring the protection and welfare of children is the responsibility of all of us who interact with children and young people. Child protection must therefore be a priority for every school and must be at the core of all of its activities.
To comply with mandatory procedures and to give clear direction and guidance to school management authorities and school personnel Scoil Choca Naofa has adopted The Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools which were developed following extensive consultation with the education partners. In 2018 we replaced our former Child Protection Policy with the new Child Safeguarding Statement. All school staff completed the appropriate training required by the Department of Education & Skills

A signed consent note is required if a child has to leave the school early; they must always be collected from their class by an adult known to the teacher. Please inform the teacher who is collecting your child.
