Scoil Chóca Naofa’s first Student Council has been set up after a tightly contested election! Two representatives from each class from First to Sixth were elected by their classmates following a poster and speech campaign. Each Councillor has a suggestion box in their classroom where children can post any issues or ideas which are then discussed at the Student Council meeting. Our Councillors are easily recognisable with their red badges pinned to their uniform. Their photos are also displayed on our dedicated noticeboard beside the staffroom. Any current events, meeting times etc are pinned here for all to see. Currently our members are coordinating pupil suggestions for a slogan or tagline that will be added to our school Mission Statement. There will definitely be some great ideas coming from our pupil body!
