The children of Scoil Chóca Naofa had bundles of fun in the sun today as they laced up for our annual Sports Day. The event was a little different this year, but that didn’t stop all the children from giving it their all in the various activities. There was a smile on every face as the children took part in three-legged races, egg-and-spoon races, obstacle courses, crab races, dribbling and throwing competitions and much more. To top off the day, the ice cream van arrived to reward all the students for their valiant efforts, although a few teachers were also spotted coming away from the van with some rather large 99s. After a long day of sweating and laughter, there will be no difficulty getting to sleep tonight. The boys and girls received certificates of participation and the overall winning team will be announced in the coming days. Maith sibh, a pháistí.
